Message: Dear Mr. Tognoni:

You have tested your Y-DNA with SMGF and uploaded the results to ySearch.

You have a very unusual value of 9 on your DYS19 marker. There are only a handful of people sharing this value. All of us are presumably related along strictly the male line of heritage within the last 1000 years. My own family immigrated to Switzerland from Northern Italy in the 13th century.

Please, send me your email address so that we can communicate. I have lots of additional information that I can share with you, but this is not conveniently possible using the web interface.

Best regards

Hi [...], unfortunately I have nothing to do with this haplotype I found on SMGF and put on Ysearch. It belongs to a Galliano from Benevento tested by SMGF. Of course your haplotypes are closely related, but probably perhaps a few thousands of years ago.

Kind Regards, Gioiello Tognoni

Dear Gioiello:

Thanks for your quick reply. I noticed that you actually posted results for two different people: Galliano and Villano. I have no access to SMGF. Would you be able to either forward my message to them or provide me with their respective email addresses?

Best regards

Cher [...], I'd be very glad to help you, but SMGF doesn't permit to know the ancestors of a person tested born after 1900 (or 1906) for privacy reasons. I already have many problems with my theories (I am the theorist of an Italian refugium of hg. R and many others), I am continuously banned from many fora, but hg E-V13 isn't Italian in its origin, everybody thinks that it came from the Balkans, even though Italy has very ancient haplotypes and it may be useful for reconstructing other migrations from Italy.
You know that this haplotype with DYS19=9 (or mutations around it) is present in Italy and probably was born here till we find similar haplotypes elsewhere. I think you should expect that a similar haplotype comes out in some open project to contact him (them).
If I may be useful to you in any way, ask me freely.

Regards, Prof. Gioiello Tognoni del Badia, R-L23/Z2105*, K1a1b1e.

P.S. Hope you know this other [...]: Ysearch [...].

Are you sure this marker is not ancient corinthian Greek, who also settles in southern Spain?
http://www.academia.edu/3067514/The_And ... plogroup_E

If it is matching this southern Spain, it could also be late migrations from Spain to Italy during the Moriscos issue of 1480s

I thank you for this interesting paper I'll read carefully, but at a first sight I don't see any DYS19=9 (neither 10 or 8) amongst these samples and all those found so far with these values are from Italy or migrated recently from there.
