There are only two reported samples shown on the Human mtDNA Phylogeny tree, mine and one other. "Sister" haplogroups are H1bf and H1bh. There is also a "niece", H1bf1. "Mother" is simply identified as "TBD100".
Y-DNA ancestor: Johan Buchhammer, b. Germany 1729; to America 1749

An update. Got an email from someone who presumably should also be in H1bg. His "most distant known mtDNA ancestor" is the same as mine -- Marie Catherine Anne Berda dit Picard.

Unfortunately, it looks as if he's only tested HVR1 and HVR2. I don't think that's enough even for H1 designation.

Another update. The individual who also claimed Marie Catherine Anne Berda dit Picard as his "most distant ancestor" has now gotten results for the coding region, and he is indeed in H1bg. He has a genetic distance from me of 0.

I also have two other H1bg matches. One has a GD of 1, the other has a GD of 3.

If I use only HVR1 and HVR2, I show a total of 69 matches, which includes two of the H1bg matches. (It does not include the one with a GD of 3.) All 67 non-H1bg matches are identified only as H.
