Auto Somal Test Results-what do they mean?

Questions...FTDNA family finder uses our autosomal DNA ...right? I was under the understanding that 23&Me did not use our autosomal DNA...Question do they or do they not test our autosomal DNA at 23&me?
It can not be possible that my wife is wrong here...Ha :D

I've tested both at 23andMe and FTDNA and they do give your autosomal results. I am going to test on Geno 2.0 soon just to compare with 23andMe, I've heard that they are pretty close, but FTDNA doesn't break it up like 23andMe and Geno 2.0.

One feature I like about 23andMe is that they also break down your autosomal by chromosomes.
