I have modified Dienekes's DIYDodecad calculator for the K=5...K=15 admixture runs.
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B6n7iMc2P-yQbDlDRWxLcHJTdU96UVUtOWlTb2hsZw
Download the calculator and proceed accordingly to Dienekes's README.txt.
To run specific K, enter the following command DIYDodecadWin MDLPx.par, where x (5...15).
Good luck and take some fan

Because GoogleDoc truncated the uploaded archive with the MDLP modification, i've had to re-upload this archive to another server

Is it a supervised or an unsupervised ADMIXTURE run? I would like to compare myself to the dataset used for this analysis, otherwise my figures won't hold any meaning.

Thank you very much for this Vadim...Would you be able to give us your thoughts on the origins of each of the ancestral components for this analysis?

Is the MDLP modification only for people with Eastern European ancestry? Can it infer admixed Eastern European ancestry too? I'm amazed by my mother's Volga-Ural score on the k15 compared to other Western Europeans it seems high (2.25%) only Spence beats it so far!! Does MDLP use more Eastern European samples? Someone kindly ran the other runs (who happens to be a Brit) and those runs show higher levels of Eastern European/Balto-Finnic/Volga-Ural-even Asian (2.25%) on one, compared to the Brit. It definitely supports other analyses (my mother is half Brit half unknown US), so thanks Vadim! 3/4 British 1/4 unknown American (maternal side). Using DNA to work out the unknown bits!
Some kind of Eastern European ancestry it seems, including Hungarian Szekely (3 cousins all related to each other and my mother share same location/surnames in common). Doug puts my mother on Dutch/German border and DIYDodecad mixed mode agrees! DIYDodecad admixture-13.5% Eastern European. |

I think this calculator works pretty well for all Europeans from the looks of it. I am curious to see what Brits score in this latest K=15 MDLP analysis. Would you be able to post your mother's and your own results Whippet? |
