Which haplogroup is this from Brazil? It is very far from any other. We should think to some hg. Q from Native Americans, but pretty all the closest ones on Ysearch belong to hg R, even R-P312. Of course I would be willing to test it for a deep SNP test, because a possible link with Portugal would open interesting developments about all the question we are discussing about as to the LGM refugia in Southern Europe and the origin of hg. The presence of close haplotypes only in South America is of course in favor of hg. Q:

Certainly nothing is sure. The Q-hypothesis is the best, but the closest linked haplotype is just this R-M335 from Slovenia, very likely from the Italian Refugium, but perhaps the DYS464=15-15-15-15 of Santois Garces may be misleading:

When the haplotypes closest to the Brazilian ones brought us to Chile and after to Mexico, the hypotesis of an Amerindian Q seemed strengthening, but the Mexican haplotype seems converging to the hg. R more than Q:

That, of course, given that these hts belong to the same haplogroup.

P.S. Of course the last values extracted are all in favor of hg. Q.
