A sample of mtDNA L3f1b has been found in Italy (Liguria). Unfortunately the test comes from 23andMe and is incomplete.

Italian sample:
HVR2: 73G 189G 200G 263G
CR: 750G 1438G 1822C 2706G 3396C 4218C 4769G 5601T 7028T 8701G 8860G 8932T 9287A 9540C 9950C 10398G 10873C 11440A 11719A 12705T 14766T 15301A 15514C
HVR1: 16209C 16223T 16292T 16311C (16519C)
By comparing it with the L3fb1 samples:
i3002034 MT 189 G
i3002122 MT 200 G
i3001999 MT 1822 C
7819 not tested
8527 not tested
i3000790 MT 8932 T
i3001017 MT 11440 A
i5050027 MT 11440 A
i3001320 MT 14769 --
rs34799580 MT 16311 C
------------------------------------------------------------
It has
i3001541 MT 16292 T
thus it is L3f1b from 1 to 5
not L3f1b6
------------------------------------------------------------
We have these mutations:
Extras(1): 9287A (16519C) C16292T
No-Calls(1): 14769G
Untested(4): 7819 8527 15326 15944
( see James Lick utility)
-----------------------------------------------
For these mutations it could be L3f1b2 (but not L3f1b2a) or L3f1b5, but very likely it is
L3f1b/C16292T
and should be compared with these samples from Ethiopia

Of these mutations the Italian sample isn't tested for:
No-Calls(1): 14769G
Untested(4): 7819 8527 15326 15944
Mutations remained:
JN655783: C2779T A7146G

Italian sample : G9287A
2779 not tested

rs28357968 MT 3666 G
Thus these samples aren't recently linked, but for knowing more about the Italian sample and its origin it would need an FMS.
