Attention.
In this tree, dating of haplogroups corrected according to Cruciani et al. 2011, Wei et al. 2012 and Shi et al. 2013

It's timely to add to this thread a link to Bonnie Schrack's latest fundraising drive.

If you can chip in some dollars/pounds/euros, folks, please do:

What bit for a small discussion

Image
The dating has been reduced by one-sixth
(generation 30 years / 25 years)
Y-Adam 338,000 years / 280,000 years.

Has anyone of you know if there are already some results of a new
test Cameroonians from the haplogroup A00?
I'm waiting impatiently!
Y-full would also better the results of his test!
Until we get more results in this group, we can not determine the detailed life of Y-Adam

As a project donor, I too am wondering about the progress of that project.

I guess the person to ask would be Bonnie Schrack.

I note that she made a Facebook posting back on March 31. Seems things are bogged down?

I ask why, because I do not have Bonnie contact, but I have contacts with the A00 people in Cameroon.

From there, I received a question.
Maybe I will write to Matthew Fomine Forka?

You have a PM.

You could do that, but I think the key reason for the apparent lack of progress is given in Bonnie's March 31 report in the Facebook page: her difficulty "to correctly fulfill all the requirements set by the ethical review committee we're working with" as she lacks experience in this process.

The time of the Y-DNA haplogroups
according to the Y-full tree (provisional calculations).

Two schemes:
- if Y-Adam lived 268.000 YBP, then 1 SNP = 219 years,
- if Y-Adam lived 200.000 YBP, then 1 SNP = 163 years.
The dates here denote the beginning of the haplogroup, the moment of the split of the paternal haplogroup.
