The project has been created in November 2011. Currently we have 30 Georgian haplotypes.

The % of general HGs is as follows

Unfortunately, a large proportion of the haplotypes is still low-res and/or lacks confirmed SNPs.

Our project has over 150 new haplotypes!

One of our Universities recently started an ethnogenetic research project of Georgian populations which is still ongoing.

A part of the samples, namely, Svans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svan_people), Megrels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mingrelians), Kakhetians (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakheti) and Laz (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laz_people), was sent to FTDNA for 37 marker testing.

Since they're still collecting and testing other samples, the official paper probably won't be published until the end of the year, so I persuaded them to make the FTDNA samples public and you can see them at our project page.
