Very interesting project. What is the maximum genetic distance at 67 markers in the DNS marker 425 = 0, null value group ? How many markers ?

Depends on which participants are being compared, some are 67/67 matches, while others are 60/67 matches.
Most of the Y Haplo Group H1a with the 425 = 0 marker mutation self identify as Romany "Gypsies".
To date, only the Romany H1a male lineages have been identified carrying this null mutation, it is not being found in any Asian / South Asian H1a population. "Most" of the Romany H1a participants are of the English and Scottish Romanichal clan.

Several of the Romanichal male lineages can trace their trees back to Colonial America late 1600's early 1700's era, and are a genetic match to their Romanichal cousins in England and Scotland.
I am a 65/67 match to an English Romanichal Lock who's direct line has never left England, while my direct Lock line was in Maryland USA by 1728. So there is no doubts some of the Colonial Americans were in fact Romany, specifically Romanichal's of England and Scotland.

Off the top of my head, I think the max distance is 57/67 if I recall correctly.

Fascinating history. You have the European Romany H1a with the 425 = 0, null as a distinct SNP of that lineage with members from Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania to England and Scotland. A medieval lineage with a proper culture and ethnic identity !
