Ditto on the question, however I suspect that George has had some personal crisis.

Thank you for inviting me to this new site. I am so sorry to find that DNA Forums is no longer online. There was no better forum for exchange of information related to DNA topics and look forward to great contributors, reference links, and quality of posts. Also testing to see how things work! Thanks again.

Nice to see some familiar faces from the 'old' forum.

The chief rumour about DNA Forums concerns an alleged lack of money. I find it hard to believe that George would not have made an appeal for more cash had he needed it. Some members of the 'community' seem to think that DNA Forums are kaput rather than temporarily unavailable. I do not know.

It is nice to have this forum as an alternative though. I note that another alternative forum has sprung up too called 'DNA Forum', on http://www.dna-forum.net/ and several people who formerly posted on the 'old' DNA Forums appear to have joined.

Thanks Yorkie, I've joined over there too.

It's a great pity if we've lost the contents of George's site. I think he got the design pretty right, and vBulletin is a good forum platform.

Nice to see a few familiar faces around here.

It reminds me of the train station scene from the film 'The Great Escape'.

I'm looking forward to a fresh start.

It strikes me as the day after Armageddon, with the stunned survivors looking at each other saying "What just happened?"

GTC,
Do you know, I was just thinking that very same thing! Doubtless he will put in an appearance at some point, when least expected. As the Job's Comforter of genetic genealogy, 'Rokus' has a great talent for offering at any given time that which people least wish to hear...
