You've already done this to some degree, but please break apart Y DNA Hg R into multiple subcategories. On the DNA-forums this category had very, very high activity compared to the other Y DNA Hgs. In fact, the old moderator (who left long ago) combined R1a and R1b into one so originally DNA-Forums had more of split.

My suggestion would be that R1a, R1b and R2 all be on the top level of of Y DNA haplogroups. I'm not qualified to suggest a further breakdown to R1a, but as for R1b I think the next layer down should be:

R1b-General & Misc.
R1b-U152/S28
R1b-L21/S145
R1b-Z196
R1b-P312/S116* & Misc.
R1b-L48
R1b-Z18
R1b-U106/S21* & Misc.

Surname Projects;

Would you be able create Surname Projects as subgroups under the Letter Heading please.
eg Whalen Surname Project as a subgroup under "W".

Cheers

I agree with Francis about the need for sub forums in the surname area...otherwise for instance, all the 'W' surname posts will get all jumbled together and while us Whalens like the Walshes, we dont want to sift through thier posts :)

Thanks

I like the idea of subdividing forums, but I don't like the current subdivision of Y-DNA Haplogroup I. In my opinion, it should be just I1 and I2, not I1, I2a, and I2b. Dividing I2 into I2a and I2b will confuse people, as current ISOGG nomenclature puts the large majority of I2 under "I2a," including most of what used to be "I2b." Also, having "I2a" and "I2b" only excludes I2c.

I don't see the point in having divided the R1b U106 subforum into L48 etc. Us U106ers are too lackadaisical as it is in the one forum.

Dear Leon and the Admin Team, is it possible to have the text of the message included in the post notifications? Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Dear Admins,

Couldn't you, as it was on dna-forums, make images, something like this: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=18#p434 to be within the boarders of a post?
But, after tapping on it the full image can be seen.

В общем, на предыдущем форуме картинки ужимались до границы окна при просмотре форума, но, после нажатия на картинку, она вырастала в полный размер.

Можно так и здесь?
