The paper of Boattini et al. (http://www.nature.com/hdy/journal/v114/ ... 1477a.html) is interesting for many aspects, not last not having been subdue to the immigrationist party of the Italian pool, found only some hg. I-L22 of probable Longobard origin and very likely due to a founder effect. But this sample (I put on Ysearch under the surname Persiceti), classified M343 (xM269) is clearly a mistake, being very likely an I2b1*:

The sample would seem I-M223>Z2054>BY138>Y13321. No one has DYS392=11 <12, but I had less than 500 years ago in my R-L23-Z2110* DYS392=12 <13.

Of course to base an analysis about the STRs and so few is very dangerous, and I have broken in pieces the reliability of the STRs from so long, now demonstrated from our deep SNPs analyses. Very likely our sample is an hg. I, but it is close to also this hapolotype

with DYS439=13 and DYS392=11 and these haplotypes (I and J2*) are separated from more than 40000 years.
